a hero of sorts

I had dinner tonight with a very special friend,
my mentor.
I call her kp.
she hates capital letters and snakes.
she loves Jesus, nutella, reading,
and her girl.

she has shown me unconditional love
when I needed it the most..
even when i didn't want it.

she listens to me
laughs with me
cries for me
and covers me in prayer

the full story of our friendship will come later..

however,
I'd like to share just a few things that I
love
about my mentor:

1: her hugs
2: the way she listens
3: she laughs at my jokes
4: she's incredibly smart
5: she makes me feel genuinely loved and accepted

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

  3. Ohhhh, Emily, KP's girl. We finally meet.

This makes me a little teary, and let me tell you I am not the sappy type...tearing up over every little thing. Not me.

You are beautiful, radiant. You are strong, fierce.

Thank you for sharing a teeny piece of you here, and encouraging strangers with your determination.

    1. nic,
the doll you made me was so sweet. I couldn't understand how someone I didn't even know would take so much time to make me something so cute and thoughtful!
I love it and all my friends there were jealous!
from what I know of you, which is that you read kp's blog, and that you made me a doll, and i assume you prayed for me,
you, my friend, are beautiful as well.
